Cardiff youngster waiting for embargo to be lifted

Cardiff City youngster Darcy Blake is waiting to be given the green light to clinch a loan return to Plymouth Argyle. Blake has just spent the past four months on loan at Home Park and is keen to rejoin the Championship strugglers until the end of the season. However, the Pilgrims are currently under a transfer embargo and must wait for it to be lifted before re-signing Blake. The 21-year-old, who can play at full-back or in midfield, is now hoping Cardiff will not try to loan him to another club as he wants to rejoin Paul Mariner's side. "Hopefully, it will be sorted out before long so I can get back," Blake told The Herald. "I spoke to Paul Mariner yesterday, and on New Year's Eve, and he told me he wanted to keep me, but something had happened and he couldn't sign me. "He said as soon it was sorted out he would phone me straight away. That's all I know. "Hopefully, Cardiff won't send me out on loan to another club and things with Plymouth are sorted quickly. "I definitely want to come back because I have really enjoyed myself here. It's fingers crossed now."
