Midfielder signs on at the Recreation Ground

Aldershot have completed the signing of Andy Sandell from Blue Square Premier League side Salisbury. The midfielder has initially penned a loan deal with the League Two side, with a view to a permanent agreement being reached when the transfer window re-opens in January. The 25-year-old began his career as a trainee at Bristol City, but dropped into the non-league with Bath City before his career was able to take off. A move to Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2006 brought him back onto the League pyramid, but his time with the Pirates lasted just a solitary season. He joined Salisbury in August 2007 and finished last season with three goals from 34 appearances. Sandell has turned out 16 times for the Whites this season, scoring on five occasions.
