Phil Brown, Gary Rowett, James Beattie and John Ward are the contenders for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award.
The achievements of Southend United, Burton Albion, Accrington Stanley and Bristol Rovers have all been recognised, with the quartet enjoying productive runs through November.
Southend also have a nominee in the running for the Player of the Month gong, in the form of Luke Prosser, while Ollie Banks of Chesterfield, Fleetwood Town's Steven Schumacher and Dagenham & Redbridge winger Zavon Hines complete the fourth tier shortlist.
Here, Sky Sports considers more closely the managers in contention.
James Beattie (Accrington Stanley)
His team managed three wins and a draw from five November games as they moved out of the relegation places, justifying Beattie's faith in the system and the players he is using in his first managerial role.
Phil Brown (Southend United)
Guided his side to within a minute of five successive wins and still managed a haul of 13 points from a possible 15 as they moved into the automatic promotion places behind a flurry of goals and attacking prowess.
Gary Rowett (Burton Albion)
Refused to panic over consecutive defeats and re-established his side's promotion charge with a trio of hard-fought wins - featuring a clean sheet on each occasion - against Bristol Rovers, Mansfield Town and Plymouth Argyle.
John Ward (Bristol Rovers)
Has coped admirably with a horrendous injury list. Inspired his side to eight points in a month which featured a fine 1-0 win at leaders Oxford United and defensive stability which saw just two goals conceded in five games.
Sky Sports also takes a look at those in the mix to be named Player of the Month.
Ollie Banks (Chesterfield)
A stellar beginning to his league career saw him impress with a superb solo goal at Torquay United, a header against Wycombe Wanderers and calm confidence on the ball patrolling the Chesterfield midfield in an unbeaten month for his team.
Zavon Hines (Dagenham & Redbridge)
A mazy dribble and finish at Hartlepool United was the pick of his three goals. He also provided an assist in the 2-0 win over Burton Albion through the attacking and direct wing play that has become his trademark.
Luke Prosser (Southend United)
The 6ft 3in central defender proved one of the major barriers in a Southend defence which conceded just three goals. Dominant in the air and strong in the tackle, he also headed home an injury-time winner against York City.
Steven Schumacher (Fleetwood Town)
An outstanding return of four goals from central midfield. His hat-trick in the 4-1 triumph over Newport County included two well-taken penalties while his curling free-kick against Oxford United complemented his all-round passing ability.
The winners will be announced on Friday 6th December.
