Midfielder picks up knee injury in Crewe defeat
Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido fears Russell Penn faces a spell on the sidelines after the midfielder suffered a knee injury against Crewe Alexandra.
Penn was replaced in the early stages of the second half of Friday's 2-1 defeat by Crewe and is awaiting an assessment of the injury.
However, speaking after the game, Peschisolido offered a gloomy outlook regarding the possibility of a swift recovery for Penn.
"We will have to have a look at Russ' injury, but the signs aren't good." Peschisolido told the club's official website.
"It's a knee injury, but there was no impact which is the scary thing - it was a twist."
The 24-year-old has scored three goals in 30 appearances for Burton since joining the club from Kidderminster Harriers last summer.
