Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill claims his priority will be to target a striker or two in the summer transfer window.
The Ulsterman's options in forward positions have been severely limited much of this season with Fraizer Campbell still fighting his way back to full match sharpness, while youngsters Ji Dong-won and Connor Wickham have both found opportunities hard to come by since O'Neill took over in December.
Nicklas Bendtner's one-year loan deal from Arsenal will be coming to an end soon and O'Neill has relied upon the Dane as a lone frontman with Benin international Stephane Sessegnon playing off him.
However, the goals have dried up in recent weeks with the Black Cats failing to hit the back of the net in their last four league games and O'Neill is aware that there are big decisions to be made this summer.

He said: "Of course it's a position that you would be looking at, considering that one of our main strikers actually is on loan.
"That situation has not been resolved, nor have we had any time to do that.
"But when you have one of your main strikers as a loan player, then of course it becomes important for you to look at centre-forwards."
Sunderland have already been linked with a series of summer transfer targets, including Wolves frontman Steven Fletcher and Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor.
