On-loan Portsmouth midfielder Hassan Yebda is hoping to avoid any complications in his race against time to be fit for the end of the season and the World Cup.
The Algerian is due to face England at the finals in South Africa on 18th June, but he has sustained a knee injury during recent international duty.
Yebda, who is on loan at crisis club Pompey from Benfica, has seen a specialist about the problem and is now concerned his World Cup dream is in danger.
"I do not want to risk missing South Africa," he said in the Daily Mirror.
"I cannot afford any complications now."
