Defender focused on winning promotion with Crawley

Crawley defender Kyle McFadzean has admitted he is flattered to have been linked with a move higher up the Football League ladder, but will not allow himself to get carried away. McFadzean has impressed for Crawley this season and reports have suggested that he is attracting interest from the Premier League. However, the 24-year-old is not sure whether there is any substance to the rumours and admits he only became aware of the speculation when team-mate Matt Tubbs showed him a newspaper. The fact that such transfer talk has surfaced illustrates how well McFadzean is performing, but he is staying focused on trying to win promotion with Crawley. "I think Tubbsy came in one morning and said 'have you seen this?' and I've said I haven't heard anything about what is in the paper," McFadzean said. "It is all good but obviously I'm a Crawley player and I hope to get promoted with Crawley and I think we will. "I'd want to play as high as I can and hopefully the gaffer would let me, we would have to see what happens."
