Midfielder to undergo scans on knee injury

Bristol City fear midfielder Marvin Elliot could face six weeks on the sidelines due to a knee injury. Elliott missed Saturday's 0-0 draw at Ipswich Town with the injury and is due to undergo scans to assess the severity of the problem. He is not expected to be fit for this weekend's game against Doncaster Rovers and manager Gary Johnson is concerned he will be without Elliott for several weeks. "I don't think it is a slight injury," Johnson told the Bristol Evening Post. "I think it is quite a problem. "I think it is anything between two and six weeks depending on what the specialist says on Monday. "He will look at the scan and if the scan shows he has got some ligament damage in his knee, then that is a problem to him and to us because we need all our other players fit."
