Rangers have completed the signing of Paris St Germain winger Jerome Rothen on a season-long loan.
The France international is the club's first signing in over a year after successfully passing a routine medical.
Walter Smith moved for the 31-year-old after his proposed move to Schalke fell through earlier this week.
Rothen actually lined up against Smith's side earlier this summer when the clubs met in the Emirates Cup.
The left-sided winger helped Monaco reach the 2004 Champions League final, while he was also a member of the France squads at the 2004 and 2008 European Championships.
