Latics trio set for contract talks

Oldham manager John Sheridan is hoping three out-of-contract players will commit themselves to the club. Goalkeeper Mark Crossley, striker Andy Liddell and midfielder Gary McDonald's deals expire this summer and Sheridan is keen to keep the trio at Boundary Park. At present, 13 of the current first-team squad are under contract for next season, including striker Lewis Alessandra who recently signed a new three-year deal. Sheridan is keen to resolve the futures of key trio Crossley, Liddell and McDonald as he plans for next season.

Confident

"I've made it clear to Mark, Andy and Gary I want to keep them," Sheridan told the club's official website "I hope we can sort something out and I think it's 90 to 95% we can do that. "I've got to make some decisions this summer and one or two of them will be harsh, but that's part and parcel of the game."
