Blue is the colour

"The blue is to belong to this club, as a player and a supporter" - Juan Mata, David Luiz and Petr Cech discuss their passion for Chelsea

David Luiz, Juan Mata & Petr Cech discuss their passion for Chelsea at an amazing kit launch.

David Luiz and Juan Mata have underlined their passion for Chelsea while Petr Cech has admitted the club now feels like a 'second family'. The three Stamford Bridge stars were speaking at a celebration of the amazing launch of the new Chelsea home shirt for the 2013/14 season, for which adidas has unveiled a bold new campaign - 'It's Blue, What Else Matters'. adidas' campaign, which includes some iconic imagery and video that will adorn the club for the forthcoming season, encourages Chelsea fans across the globe to go 'all in' and buy the new 2013/14 home kit before seeing it. The imagery is the centrepiece and it is based on the belief Chelsea is not just a football club, not just a team, but something deeper and more emotional, with Luiz, Mata and Cech in no doubt. Brazil international Luiz said at the launch: "I have really enjoyed being part of this day. I would do anything for this club and to show my passion for being a blue means everything to me." Spanish international Juan Mata, who was among the players to help Chelsea to last season's FA Cup and UEFA Champions League double, added: "The blue is to belong to this club, as a player and a supporter." Cech is of a similar opinion to Mata and Luiz, and, as the goalkeeper approaches a decade of service at Chelsea, the 2004 signing from Rennes cannot hide his love for his club. The Czech said: "I can say that, painted in blue, it shows how blue I can be. Chelsea is a huge part of my life and Chelsea football club has become like my second family." adidas' campaign launched on Friday and Chelsea fans will be able to explore the imagery throughout Stamford Bridge as Chelsea take on Paolo Di Canio's Sunderland on Sunday. The kit will then be revealed over the forthcoming weeks. To pre-order and show you are 'all in' for Chelsea football club, visit www.chelseafc.com/allin
