Palermo playmaker would love to play for Blues

Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore has admitted it is flattering to be linked with a move to Chelsea. The Blues reportedly lodged a bid of around 15million euros (£13.3m) for the Argentine over the summer. But it was Palermo who won the chase for his signature and Pastore has settled quickly at his new club. He has just learned of Chelsea's interest and concedes it would be a 'dream come true' to move to Stamford Bridge at some point in the future. "I honestly didn't not know anything about the Chelsea offer," Pastore told ESPNdeportes.co. "It is one of the biggest teams in the world, always fighting for all the cups and it would be incredible to be there. "If I can play there some day, it would be a dream come true."

Cavani and Kjaer

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini, meanwhile, has played down suggestions the club could be tempted to sell Edinson Cavani or Simon Kjaer. Defender Kjaer has been connected with some of Europe's top clubs, while reports have claimed Palermo have reached an agreement with Inter Milan over striker Cavani. "It's an absolute invention, I have never met anyone from Inter. It's the player's agent who is working in a bad way," Zamparini told Radio Radio regarding Cavani. "Kjaer is also an important player for us and Palermo don't need money." Sporting director Walter Sabatini also stressed that Cavani and Kjaer would be going nowhere when the transfer window reopens. "There is nothing to tell and there is no intention to begin negotiations with Inter," Sabatini told calciomercato.it. "Kjaer is absolutely non-transferable, everything is returned to sender. We will not consider anything." Sabatini added that he hopes Mark Bresciano and Fabio Simplicio, both out of contract in June, will stay with the club. "The contracts are ready with our secretary general, when they want they can go and sign," he said. "If they don't sign, we will seek other solutions."
