Frenchman departs London Road

Peterborough have confirmed that defender Claude Gnapka has left the club. The French right-back rejected the offer of a new deal at London Road and he has now left. The club have also confirmed that striker Danny Crow, Josh Low, Mark Tyler, Adam Smith and Danny Blanchett can leave the club - but Rene Howe will get a chance to impress manager Darren Ferguson. "Danny [Crow] is surplus to requirements at this football club and he is available," said Ferguson. "Claude Gnakpa has now left the club and I think he will sign for a League Two club for a bit more money. We made him a good offer as he has played well for us but if players think we will meet all their demands then they are wrong. "And Rene Howe has done very well at Rochdale and he will come back next season."

Low out

Director of football Barry Fry confirmed Low would be leaving. "The manager has been honest and up front with the players he doesn't believe have a future at the club," said Fry, "They include Josh Low, who has suffered because of the emergence of Chris Whelpdale. It's no secret that Josh and Micah Hyde are the highest paid players at the club as we signed them from Championship clubs when they were earning Championship wages. "I believe we would let Mark and Shwan go if the right offer came in. I have had an enquiry from Luton about Tyler and from another club about Jalal."
