Duo set for Old Trafford return

Wigan have been handed a double boost with the news that Denny Landzaat and Antonio Valencia have returned to training. Ecuador international Valencia has been sidelined since the draw at West Ham in August, while Landzaat has missed the last three games after fracturing his eye socket in the defeat at Newcastle. The duo have returned to training and could be contention for this weekend's clash against Manchester United. Latics boss Chris Hutchings is delighted to have the midfield pair at his disposal again.

Poser

"It is going to give me a real selection poser to have both of them available again, along with Ryan Taylor, who came on for his first taste of action this season against Liverpool," Hutchings told the club's official website. Meanwhile, Wigan defender Andreas Granqvist has spoken of his delight at his form this season. The Swedish international, who missed last weekend's defeat to Liverpool, has impressed so far this campaign at the heart of Wigan's defence and he is delighted at how things are going. "The season has been okay, quite good actually," Granqvist told Expressen. "I like to be a leader and try to be that in the Premier League."
