Napoli have completed the signing of centre-back Henrique for an undisclosed fee from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras on a three-year deal.
The 27-year-old has previous experience in Europe, having played in Germany for Bayer Leverkusen and in Spain for both Barcelona and Racing Santander.
Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis took to Twitter to welcome the former Palmeiras captain to the club, writing: "Welcome Henrique. Your experience and your quality will integrate perfectly with our great team."
Henrique's representative Marcos Malaquaias told GloboEsporte.com: "It was a good proposal for everyone concerned.
"Despite the fact Henrique didn't want to leave Palmeiras in their centenary year, the €4m offer satisfied us."
