Millers winger challenged to maintain his form

Rotherham United manager Ronnie Moore has praised the recent performances of in-form winger Marcus Marshall. The 21-year-old joined the Millers on a permanent basis from Blackburn over the summer after impressing during a loan spell last season, but took time to establish himself in the first-team this term. However, another dazzling display in the League Two club's 1-0 win over Aldershot earned special praise from his manager. "He is getting hotter and hotter, which is fantastic for us, and if I was a full-back I wouldn't want to be coming up against him in the form that he is in," Moore told skysports.com. "You give him the ball and he causes the defence endless problems, which led to our goal and both of the full-backs' bookings. "It is great for us that we have got that from such a young player at this stage of the season and if he can continue in the same vein then we will have one great asset on our hands." The Millers' triumph over Aldershot was overshadowed by a serious injury to skipper Ryan Cresswell, who was stretchered off after an awkward fall and Moore cursed his luck with injuries to his defence occurring on a regular basis this season. He added: "It is a bad injury and he has broken his collarbone, but it has also become displaced as well, so he will probably need a plate on it. "It is a massive blow for us because he came back in on Saturday and led the side so well and it is just so unfortunate for him. "Collarbone injuries are nasty and it was a nothing challenge really. The lad just tugged him and gone over on top of him and it is that what has caused the break really."
