Nottingham Forest have signed winger Modou Barrow on loan from Swansea, subject to international clearance.

Barrow has put pen to paper on a deal for the remainder of the season, with Swans boss Garry Monk keen for the 22-year-old to get some first-team football under his belt.

The Gambian is expected to go straight into the Forest squad for their Championship game against Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday.

Barrow joined Swansea from Swedish club Ostersunds last September and earned himself an improved four-year contract last month.

He has made a handful of appearances for the Welsh club but his only Premier League start came against Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium on February 7.
