Sky Sports understands Rochdale have signed Scunthorpe striker Bobby Grant on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old Liverpool-born forward moved to the Iron from Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2010.
He has already enjoyed a loan spell at Spotland during the 2010/11 season as well as a three-month spell back at his old club Stanley earlier this year.
He scored nine goals for Scunthorpe last season and has already notched two strikes this campaign, both in the spectacular 5-5 Capital One Cup clash with Derby County.
Grant has now sealed a permanent move back to Lancashire to become Rochdale's tenth summer signing.
