Koeman rules out Guidetti move

Feyenoord coach Ronald Koeman has ruled out the prospect of the club re-signing Manchester City striker John Guidetti.

City striker is getting too much attention, says Feyenoord coach

Feyenoord coach Ronald Koeman has ruled out the prospect of the club re-signing Manchester City striker John Guidetti. The Sweden international proved a huge hit at De Kuip during a loan spell last season, scoring 20 goals in just 23 appearances for the Eredivisie side. The 20-year-old's campaign came to an abrupt end when he picked up a serious virus that caused him to lose feeling in his right leg and from which he is still recovering. Guidetti's agent Per Jonsson claims as many as 15 clubs are interested in his client's services as he prepares to once again leave the Etihad Stadium on loan. But Koeman has moved to end speculation that Feyenoord are among the clubs keen to do a deal for the Swede. "Guidetti is getting too much attention," Koeman told De Telegraaf. "He's physically not okay and I'm not sure what his situation will be. "Fans can shout his name from the stands, but it's not realistic. "With all respect to John, we don't think about him. We're looking for other strikers."
