Trotters boss confident of keeping hold of midfielder

Bolton boss Owen Coyle expects midfielder Mark Davies to stay at the Reebok Stadium. Davies' future at Bolton has been the subject of conjecture since their relegation from the Premier League. Swansea have been strongly linked with a move for Davies with Bolton rejecting a bid from the Welsh outfit for the 24-year-old. Coyle has spoken to Davies about his future and claims the player has pledged to stay at the club. "I spoke to him the other day and he intimated to me he was happy here and wanted to be a part of Bolton Wanderers' plans," said Coyle. "That is good enough for me. "Anyway, we are not looking to dismantle a squad. We are trying to assemble a young hungry squad to get us back to the Premier League. Mark Davies is a huge part of that."
