Mowbray believes winger will give his team a different dimension

Middlesbrough have wrapped up the signing of winger Mustapha Carayol from Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee. Sky Sports revealed earlier this week that Carayol was undergoing a medical at Boro and he has now agreed a three-year deal with the Championship club. Carayol has been a key summer transfer target for Boro boss Tony Mowbray after impressing for Rovers last season following his arrival from Lincoln City. Mowbray told the club's official website: "I'm delighted that he's agreed to sign for us as there was competition for his signature from within the Championship. "I see him as a young, exciting player who can give us a different dimension and option. I'm looking forward to seeing him perform for us. "He's played his entire career so far at a lower level but I see the potential for him to be an exciting addition to our squad and I'm sure he will excite the fans and be a player they can enjoy watching." Carayol's arrival brings Boro's summer signings to seven and he joins Christian Burgess, George Friend, Grant Leadbitter, Emmanuel Ledesma, Stuart Parnaby and Jonathan Woodgate in the squad for the new season.
