Galliani - Anything is possible

Adriano Galliani says AC Milan have no plans to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, but admits the transfer window can be 'unpredictable'.

Milan cannot say for certain if Ibrahimovic and Silva will stay

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says the club have no plans to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, but admits the transfer window can be 'unpredictable'. This is not the first time that Milan have found two of their most prized assets linked with big-money moves out of the San Siro, but the rumours do appear to be gathering pace. Ibrahimovic is once again being touted as a possible target for Manchester City, with Blues boss Roberto Mancini known to be an admirer of the Sweden international from their time together at Inter Milan. Silva, meanwhile, has been forced to fend off endless rounds of speculation suggesting he is on his way to Barcelona. Milan have always sought to play down the reports, with it their intention to keep key figures at the club.

Competitive

Galliani has, however, stopped short of ruling out possible sales on this occasion. "On 31st August we will reveal what the group will be, and it will be very competitive," he said. "That doesn't mean that Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will leave. Anything is possible though as the transfer market is very unpredictable. "It has happened in the past and it can happen again this season."
