Terim to make decision on whether to pursue Man Utd striker

Galatasaray have confirmed an interest in signing Manchester United's out-of-favour striker Dimitar Berbatov, but will leave a decision in coach Fatih Terim's hands. Berbatov has confirmed he is looking to leave Old Trafford this summer after starting just five Premier League games for United last season. The Red Devils took up an option to extend his contract earlier this year, so the Bulgarian would command a fee, and he has been linked with several teams. Former club Bayer Leverkusen have ruled out making a bid for the 31-year-old, while Berbatov's agent welcomed speculation regarding a possible move to Paris St Germain. However, Turkey could now be an option for Berbatov after Galatasaray president Unal Aysal expressed his club's interest in the former Tottenham Hotspur forward. "The Bulgarian is a great forward," Aysal is quoted as saying on gol.bg. "I want him to join us but, of course, coach Fatih Terim has the final word." Berbatov has scored 57 goals in 149 appearances for United since joining from Spurs in 2008 and was the Premier League's top scorer in the 2010/11 title-winning season.
