Port Vale striker weighs up options
Sky Sports understands up to 12 clubs are chasing the signature of Port Vale striker Marc Richards.
Richards is out of contract this summer and talks over a new deal have been delayed because of the club's financial problems.
Vale are keen to keep hold of their star striker, but they face a massive fight to tie him down to a new deal with a host of clubs waiting in the wings to sign him.
Richards has been Vale's stand-out performer in a turbulent season for the League Two club and he has scored 59 goals during his last three seasons at the club
Richards is believed to have interest from clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two, with the 29-year-old regarded as one of the best strikers in the lower leagues.
The former Barnsley and Blackburn man, who netted 17 goals this season, is thought to be flattered by the interest and is weighing up his options before making a decision on his future.
