Inverness skipper feels winger would benefit from another year
Inverness Caledonian Thistle captain Richie Foran has called on winger Jonny Hayes to stay at the club for at least another season.
Hayes is out of contract in the summer and Inverness manager Terry Butcher is keen to agree an extension with the 24-year-old.
Celtic were linked with Hayes during the January transfer window, but Foran believes it would be too early for his team-mate to move on.
"I think one more season for him would be good, but also one more season working under the manager would be beneficial for Jonny as well," Foran told the Inverness Courier
Clever lad
"We all saw how Adam Rooney progressed and improved under the guidance of both the manager and Maurice Malpas.
"I think it would be a good idea for Jonny to stay another year, but he's not a silly boy.
"He's a clever lad and hopefully he's getting guided by the right people with regards to agents and that, and he'll make the right decision.
"I'll be delighted if he stays here, but if not then hopefully he'll go on and have a great career."
