Britton happy to commit for the rest of his career

Swansea City star Leon Britton has confirmed that he would like to finish his career with the club. Britton came through the youth ranks at Arsenal before West Ham paid £400,000 for him as a 16-year-old. He never made his senior debut for the Hammers and he was loaned to Swansea in 2002 before joining them on a permanent deal the following year. Then in 2010 he opted to quit South Wales and signed for Sheffield United but things did not work out at Bramall Lane and, after six months, he returned to Swansea. Now a lynchpin in Brendan Rodgers' side, Britton admits he cannot imagine playing elsewhere. "It was a bad decision by me to leave, but it hasn't worked out too badly since I came back to Swansea," said the 29-year-old midfielder. "I want to stay as long as I can - hopefully for the rest of my career if possible."
