FC Nurnberg have confirmed the signing of defender Noah Korczowski from rival Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
The 18-year-old will join Schalke at the end of the season on a contract that will run until 2015, as manager Dieter Hecking looks for bright prospects.
Korczowski is a current Germany youth international and he was part of the Under-17 squad that claimed third place at the FIFA U17 World Cup.
Nurnberg general manager Martin Bader told the club's official website: "We have been on the trail of Noah Korczowski for quite some time now.
"He has been developing remarkably well and we are looking forward to him joining us at the end of the season.
"We have been able to sign a highly talented young German youth international.
"We are impressed that we have been able to convince him that his future lies with FC Nurnberg. "
