Striker agrees two-and-half-year deal at County Ground

Skysports.com understands Charlton striker Paul Benson has agreed his move to League Two outfit Swindon. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Charlton and Swindon have agreed a swap deal which will see Benson and Robins striker Leon Clarke switch clubs. Swindon have been chasing Benson for some time and thought they had signed the player during the loan window only for the move not to be finalised in time. Benson is believed to have agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal at the County Ground after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. Clarke is also expected to finalise his switch to the Valley when the transfer window officially opens on 1st January to replace Benson at the League One leaders. Benson could make his Swindon debut in the home clash with AFC Wimbledon on 2nd January.
