Swiss sneak past Liechtenstein

Switzerland bounced back from their defeat to Germany but were made to fight till the end against lowly Liechtenstein.

The Swiss crashed to Germany last Wednesday, but returned to winning ways thanks to an injury-time goal from Daniel Gygax.

The 22-year-old former Under-21 international was perfectly placed to snatch a dramatic winner and give the side a much-need boost of confidence.

Kobi Kuhn's preparations have been decimated by injury with the coach making another change to his squad on Sunday after bringing in Tranquillo Barnetta for Johann Lonfat.

Switzerland will have to up their game in Euro 2004 if they are to qualify from Group B, after being paired alongside England, France and Croatia.
