New West Brom head coach Tony Pulis has expressed his concern for the future of record signing Brown Ideye.
The Nigeria international has flopped at The Hawthorns since a £10m move from Dynamo Kiev in the summer, scoring just twice in 14 games as the Baggies continue their battle against the drop after appointing Pulis as Alan Irvine's replacement last month.
Pulis is keen to add extra firepower after assessing the squad and could not guarantee Ideye was part of his long-term plans at The Hawthorns.
He said: "Somebody asked me: 'Will Saido (Berahino) be going?' I can't say he is staying. If someone comes in and offers an enormous amount of money then the club will look at it. That'll be the same with every player.
"Every club I've been at has always worked that way. If something comes up on the table then you sit down and you look at it and you take a view whether it is right for the club, or not.
"That'll be the same with Brown. He has got a cloud hanging over him at the moment. If we could lift that cloud from him and release him a little bit then we'd be fine."
The Baggies go to Everton on Monday sitting 14th in the Premier League ahead of Saturday's games and Ideye will be in the squad for the trip to Goodison Park as they look to build on the 1-0 win over Hull last week.
The 26-year-old missed a golden chance against the Tigers and Pulis knows he has struggled to adapt but insisted he is not the only player to find it tough in England.
He said: "English football, especially Premier League football, is different to most football on the continent. It can take a while for players to get used to, I'm not just talking about Brown.
"I'm talking about lots of players. Top, top players find it difficult. You have to give them time and also plenty of assurance that if they keep working hard it will come for them."
