Cesena sacked coach Pierpaolo Bisoli on Monday, the Serie A club have announced.
Cesena are currently second bottom in the overall league standings with just one win and eight points from their opening 14 games.
A statement on the club's official website said: "A.C. Cesena announces that today coach Pierpaolo Bisoli was dismissed.
"The club thanks Bisoli and his staff for the established relationship of mutual respect and for the work done over the years, coincided with a remarkable salvation and a journey in the top flight which will remain in our history."
The club made no reference as to Bisoli's replacement.
