Blues boss pleased with side's win over Wolves

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is not getting carried away despite his side's 3-0 victory over Wolves. The Blues strolled to the victory at Stamford Bridge, goals from John Terry, Daniel Sturridge and Juan Mata easing the pressure on their Portuguese manager. Chelsea are now five points behind second-place Manchester United but Villas-Boas is not thinking too far ahead. He said: "We're not going to fill ourselves with arrogance. We just have to wait and see. Today we continued being exactly the same team, but getting the result we wanted. "We have the game against Newcastle soon and then the game against the leaders to show that we are a quality side. "Let's wait and see, today was important but we have to get the consistency right. "December will be very important, we have one Champions League game but the rest will be Premier League fixtures. "It doesn't take pressure off me, I think we have to grow as a team." Fernando Torres started on the bench at Stamford Bridge and received a fine ovation when he was introduced in the second half. However, Villas-Boas believes not selecting the Spaniard was the correct decision and thinks he was brought on at the right time. "I wanted to make the correct substitutions for the benefit of the team," he added. "I think Didier [Drogba] was tired after three games in six days, I understand the crowd wanted Fernando to be on, I have no problem with it, but our decision is not based on what the crowd wants." Villas-Boas also moved to quash speculation that his assistant Roberto Di Matteo is unhappy at the club and wants a return to managerial life. "I think it's unfair for me to clarify Robbie's position. I don't know how this story came through," Villas-Boas said. "It's completely wrong, it's a false story."
