Marek Stech - Yeovil
Goalkeeper Marek Stech was Yeovil Town's hero as his late penalty save earned Town a point in a goalless draw at Stevenage. Defender Luke Ayling was sent off in the 84th minute for handling Lawrie Wilson's cross, but the on-loan keeper from West Ham saved the resultant spot-kick from John Mousinho to ensure the spoils were shared.
Aron Gunnarsson - Cardiff
The versatile Cardiff City man played a key role in the Bluebirds' 5-3 win over Barnsley with a brace of goals in South Wales. Gunnarsson's incisive finish from outside the penalty area made it 3-1 to the home side and he clinched the points with Cardiff's fifth with a neat close-range effort.
Paddy McCarthy - Crystal Palace
The Eagles are one of the Championship's surprise packages this season and their play-off charge shows no signs of abating following their weekend win over Ipswich. Paul Jewell's side were in form, but they slipped up on home soil thanks to captain McCarthy's neat finish on the edge of the six-yard box at Portman Road.
Wes Morgan - Nottm Forest
The towering defender is a fearsome sight for strikers, but on Saturday he did some of his best work at the other end of the field as his header gave Forest the lead at Blackpool. He opened the scoring at Bloomfield Road with a powerful header from Lewis McGugan's right-wing corner in the 39th minute.
Reda Johnson - Sheffield Wednesday
The central defender has been given a new lease of life at left-back for the Owls. Wednesday are now one of the form sides in League One following their weekend success over Colchester. The stopper was perfectly placed to score the home side's second of the game on 70 minutes that maintained their 100 per cent start on home soil.
Jermaine McGlashan - Aldershot
Jermaine McGlashan is making a name for himself in League Two and he enhanced his reputation with a brace in Aldershot's weekend win at Dagenham & Redbridge. McGlashan opened the scoring early on by volleying home Adam Smith's cross. The winger added the icing on the cake in injury-time with a well-taken effort.
Dannie Bulman - Crawley
Crawley are flying high in League Two and they maintained their excellent form over the weekend thanks in part to a midfield double from Bulman. Crawley were leading 3-2 at Kingsmeadow before it became the Bulman show. Seb Brown spilled the ball and Bulman was there to nod home his first of the season. He did not have to wait long for his second as he headed home Scott Neilson's cross late on.
Kane Ferdinand - Southend
Ferdinand bagged a brace on Saturday as Southend extended their unbeaten run to eight games after getting the better of out-of-sorts Torquay. Ferdinand broke the deadlock 20 seconds into the second half at Roots Hall with a cool finish before volleying home a superb second following good work down the right from Neil Harris.
Radoslaw Majewski - Nottm Forest
Majewski made it a week to remember for Forest's new boss Steve Cotterill as his late winner gave the visitors a 2-1 success at Blackpool. Kevin Phillips' goal levelled matters before half time, but Forest claimed the points in the 76th minute courtesy of Majewski's neat volley - his first goal of the season.
Jordan Rhodes - Huddersfield Town
The Terriers striker is a man in form and he made it back-to-back hat-tricks over the weekend with a treble in Town's 3-1 success over Preston North End. The marksman capitalised on a blunder by Iain Turner to open the scoring. His well-placed header doubled Huddersfield's lead before half-time before a composed second-half finish completed yet another hat-trick.
Darius Henderson - Millwall
The Lions secured the upset of the weekend as they travelled to Leicester City and emerged with a stunning 3-0 success. Kenny Jackett's side opened the scoring when Henderson slotted home from the penalty spot after Brian Howard was fouled. He added his second on the stoke of half-time after converting Jay Simpson's cross at the back post before heading in a third on 68 minutes.
