Scotland boss George Burley would consider selecting St Johnstone midfielder Jody Morris.

Saints player on Burley's radar due to Scottish grandfather

Scotland manager George Burley has revealed that he would consider selecting St Johnstone midfielder Jody Morris. The former Chelsea and Leeds player represented England at Under 20 level in 1997, but he never progressed to the senior set-up. Hammersmith-born Morris has now come to the attention of the SFA after it emerged that the 30-year-old has a Scottish grandfather. And Burley, whose side have failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, admits that he would think about the Saints player if he wants to represent Scotland. "If Jody says he wants to play for Scotland it is something we have to consider," said Burley in the Daily Record.
