Wales boss John Toshack has called on Jason Koumas, Simon Davies and Craig Bellamy to produce 'big performances' in the World Cup qualifier against Finland on Saturday.
Wales currently sit in third in Group Four, with six points from their opening four games, and Toshack says the Finland clash - which is being shown live on
Sky Sports 1 and
HD1 at 3pm - is a 'must-win' game.
He wants top performances from his experienced players, particularly Koumas and Davies in midfield.
"This is our first real pressure game, more so than in Germany and Russia earlier in the group where we were not expected to win," he added.
Big performances
"This one we must win, and we need big performances from Jason Koumas and Simon Davies - our captain (Craig Bellamy) as well.
"They are the experienced ones. We have a lot of young players around, so if we are going to get the result we want Jason and Simon, in particular, are two we need good performances from.
"I am sure one day Wales will qualify for something. That is the challenge - but don't forget we are in a group with two of the top sides in Europe, so it could have been easier.
"This is a must-win game - there's no doubt about that. We need the experience of those two; they are creative players and they can produce positive things. They are really important now for us.
"They know my feelings. Neither of them has been with us for five months and missed the last two games, where we gave creditable performances against sides seeded higher than us."
Stadium dilemma
Meanwhile, the Football Association of Wales say they will consider moving international matches away from the Millennium Stadium after the end of the current World Cup qualifying campaign.
The FAW have suffered criticism over the number of empty seats in recent matches at the 74,000-capacity stadium in Cardiff.
An FAW spokesman said: "The draw for the next European tournament is at the end of the year, then we will be able to make judgements on where we play matches, it cannot be done half-way through a campaign."
Boss Toshack said they cannot do anything about the problem of small crowds in the stadium at present.
He hopes the principality will get a positive result against Finland to bolster numbers for Wales' next World Cup qualifier in Cardiff against Germany on Wednesday, which will be shown live on
Sky Sports 1 and
HD1 at 7.45pm.
"But if we get the right result against Finland, maybe that will mean a few more in to see us against Germany," he said.
