Defender wary of Crouch threat

Inter Milan defender Lucio insists the UEFA Champions League holders are not under-estimating Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Wednesday's clash. Spurs will turn out in the Giuseppe Meazza in midweek in what is set to be the biggest European contest to date. Harry Redknapp's side are level on points in Group A with Inter, who are the defending champions and are looking to become the first team to successfully defend the trophy since the tournament's revamp in the early 1990s. But Lucio is aware that their Premier League opponents could put a spanner in the works in the double-header, starting in Milan.

Danger

The Brazil international told skysports.com:"Tottenham are rookies in the Champions League but they possess an excellent squad with many internationals and with enormous quality in front of goal. Spurs are the big danger (in this group). "We are preparing for this match with the same intensity as if the opponent was Chelsea or Manchester United. Experience tells me that any big English club could offer problems." Lucio is particularly concerned with the threat Tottenham harbour in the shape of Peter Crouch. The England international proved a thorn in FC Twente's side last time out and Lucio admits Inter will have to give the striker extra attention. "A match against an English club always demands the biggest effort from our defenders," Lucio added. "But against Tottenham men like Crouch require a special preparation. To stop this forward is not easy but we are prepared for the battle."
