Boro star hoping to make an impact

Turkish star Tuncay Sanli insists there is no pressure on him to produce the goods against Switzerland on Wednesday. The Middlesbrough striker failed to make much of an impact in Turkey's opening Group A clash against Portugal as they went down 2-0. But Tuncay is now looking to the Swiss match to make amends. "I wasn't able to make the difference as I wanted against Portugal," said Tuncay. "But I hope I can do it against Switzerland. "I feel no pressure going into the game. "We lost the first game and we had one day to grieve about it but now our focus is on the game against Switzerland."

Premier experience

Tuncay is hoping he can use his experience from his first year in English football to help him make more of an impact. "I have learned a lot during the year I have spent in the Premier League," said the former Fenerbahce star. "It took me time to adapt to the Premier League but it has been very important in my football career." The Boro star remains hopeful Turkey will get the win they are looking for against co-hosts Switzerland. "We have players who are out injured and Switzerland have the big advantage of playing at home but we are very confident," he said. "We will go out on the pitch determined to win, we are really motivated."
