Home wins for PSV, Twente and Ajax

PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente continue to trade blows at the top of the table as Luis Suarez hit four in Ajax's thrashing of Roda JC Kerkrade. Table-toppers PSV made it 21 games unbeaten in the Eredivisie this season after a battling 2-1 win over FC Utrecht at Philips Stadion. The hosts took an early lead through Ola Toivonen, but Utrecht were level before half-time when Sander Keller scored on 39 minutes. Substitute Orlando Engelaar struck the decisive goal for PSV just before the hour mark and Utrecht had their goalscorer Keller sent off for two bookable offences 13 minutes from time. Twente trail PSV only on goal difference after Steve McClaren's side enjoyed a 2-0 home win over Heracles Almelo. Bryan Ruiz made the breakthrough for Twente two minutes before half-time and Blaise Nkufo made certain of the points on 66 minutes. Highly-rated striker Suarez celebrated recently signing a new contract by scoring all Ajax's goals in a 4-0 victory over 10-man Roda JC. It took Ajax until the 54th minute to open the scoring at the Amsterdam Arena and Roda JC then had Davy de Fauw sent off for a second yellow card on 68 minutes. Just a minute later, Suarez scored Ajax's second goal from the penalty spot and the in-form hit-man went on to notch in the 79th and 86th minute. ADO Den Haag's battle to stay in the top flight suffered a knock after a 2-0 defeat away to FC Groningen. Andreas Granqvist converted from the penalty spot after 15 minutes for Groningen, who scored the second on 58 minutes through Danny Aolla. Vitesse Arnhem scored a late equaliser to deny Sparta Rotterdam a vital win at the bottom end of the table. Erik Falkenburg gave Sparta the lead on the hour, but first-half substitute Dalibor Stefanovic rescued a point for Vitesse a minute from time.
