Chelsea starlet Ben Sahar has joined Portsmouth on a six-month loan deal.
The highly-rated 18-year-old spent time at Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday last season and Chelsea have decided to once again send him out for more regular football.
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has been busy trying to strengthen his squad since the start of the summer and has now beaten off competition from several other clubs to secure Sahar for the first half of the new campaign.
The Israeli forward is delighted to be on his way to Fratton Park and hopes to make an impact in the Premier League.
"I've always wanted to be part of a Premier League team and I'm happy to be at Portsmouth," he told the club's official website.
"I'm ready for the challenge of being part of such a big club.
"I want to be part of it and to show that I deserve to be here."
