Piet Velthuizen is in no rush to leave Vitesse after being linked with a move to Ajax and Arsenal.
Velthuizen taking no notice of transfer rumours
Piet Velthuizen says he is in no rush to leave Vitesse Arnhem after being linked with a move to Ajax and Arsenal.
Gunners scouts watched Velthuizen against Ajax at the weekend, while he has been tipped to replace Maarten Stekelenburg at the Amsterdam ArenA.
But the 21-year-old has little interest in the transfer speculation, insisting he is happy in Arnhem, where he recently signed a contract extension until 2011.
"These are only rumours," Velthuizen told
De Gelderlander. "And it does nothing for me.
Very satisfied
"I have a good contract. Why should I leave?
"In football you never know anything for sure, but I am very satisfied with Vitesse."
Regarding interest from Arsenal, the promising keeper admits his target is simply to help Vitesse to finish in the top half of the table.
He added: "Everyone knows that Arsenal is a great club, but I have a contract until 2011 at Vitesse.
"Things are going well and I hope to finish in the top nine with Vitesse. This is important for me.
"About other things, I am not at all concerned."
