Ono to follow Nakata?

Shinji Ono is reported to be keen on a move away from Feyenoord.

Japanese international Shinji Ono is on the verge of a move away from Feyenoord, according to reports in Holland.

Ono is believed to have had talks with Bolton manager Sam Allardyce over a possible link-up with new signing Hidetoshi Nakata.

The midfielder wants to leave Rotterdam, and it is believed that he will only remain at the club if he is held against his will.

Ono has been capped 39 times by his country, and he possesses the industrial qualities that Allardyce looks for in a player.

Feyenoord's technical advisor Wim Jansen is reportedly already eyeing up Simon Cziommer from Schalke or Edgar Barreto of NEC Nijmegen as a possible replacement, should Ono leave.
