NEC clear the decks

There is likely to be a flurry of activity at NEC Nijmegen in the summer.

There is likely to be a flurry of activity at NEC Nijmegen in the summer.

Frank Demouge (pictured), Pascal Heije, Thijs Hendriks and Charles Kazlauskas have all been informed their expiring contracts will not be renewed, enabling them to head for pastures new in the summer.

The club, though, are looking to retain the services of Jose Valencia and Peter Wisgerhof and are set to discuss terms in the near future.

NEC have set their sights on a replacement for Dennis Gentenaar, with former Go Ahead Eagles man Raymon van Emmerik the object of their desire.

The 24-year-old is currently without a club and is mulling over a contract offer from NEC.

Albert van der Sleen is retiring in the summer, but the club want to offer the 41-year-old a place on their coaching staff.
