Saeijs wins it for ADO

Jan Paul Saeijs's late goal handed ADO Den Haag a win over Heerenveen.

A last-minute goal from Jan Paul Saeijs handed ADO Den Haag all three points from their home clash with Heerenveen.

Heerenveen came into the game protecting an unbeaten record and it looked for long spells like they would head back to the Abe Lenstra with at least a point, but they were undone by a late goal from Saeijs.

Saeijs popped up two minutes into injury time, with his goal just reward for ADO's refusal to settle for a point.

The goal enabled ADO to open their account for the season, although they have played a game less than most other teams due to their opening-day fixture against Ajax being postponed.
