Vitesse land Lazovic

Vitesse Arnhem have completed the capture of Feyenoord forward Danko Lazovic.

Vitesse Arnhem have completed the capture of Feyenoord forward Danko Lazovic.

The Serbian is looking to revive his career, having slipped down the pecking order at De Kuip following a bright start to life in Rotterdam.

He spent last term on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and then Partizan Belgrade, but did not do enough to persuade Feyenoord coach Erwin Koeman that he had a future at the club.

Vitesse tried to sign Lazovic 12 months ago and the capture of the striker on a four-year deal will come as a huge boost to the Gelredome outfit.

Lazovic is looking forward to the chance to get his career back on track, but is leaving Feyenoord with a heavy heart.

"For my career it's very important that I get to play and at Vitesse that's possible," Lazovic told Feyenoord's website.

"I find it difficult to say goodbye to Feyenoord. I have often said that the club and the fans are close to my heart."
