New deal for Romeo

Romeo Castelen has signed a new deal at Feyenoord until 2008.

Romeo Castelen has signed a new deal at Feyenoord that will see the player remain at the club until 2008.

The 22-year-old was signed from ADO Den Haag in 2004 and was quickly making his debut for the club and the Dutch national team.

The striker was linked with moves to both Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the summer, but has now ended all speculation surrounding his future by signing the new deal.

Castelen has missed much of the current campaign with a nagging hamstring injury, however when he has been able to play, he has impressed.

He has scored seven goals in just 11 games, despite playing most games as a right winger.
