Zwolle are struggling near the foot of the table and made life difficult for Feyenoord, but the superior quality of Bert van Marwijk`s side eventually won the day.
Early goals from Thomas Buffel and Pierre van Hooijdonk gave the Rotterdam side a cushion, although Arjan Bosschaart`s strike at the start of the second half made Feyenoord fight for victory.
However, Buffel set up van Hooijdonk to secure the points for Feyenoord in injury-time.
Vitesse Arnhem are scrapping desperately to avoid the drop, but they had to settle for a point from their home clash with local rivals NEC Nijmegen.
Bob Peeters fired Vitesse in front on 14 minutes, but Resit Schuurman grabbed a point for NEC.
