Amstel Cup round-up

PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord romped into the semi-finals of the Amstel Cup.

PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord romped into the semi-finals of the Amstel Cup courtesy of facile home victories.

At Philips Stadion, PSV were in rampant mood as they saw off TOP Oss 6-1, while Feyenoord hammered NAC Breda 4-0 at De Kuip.

A hat-trick from Robert was the highlight of PSV's destruction of TOP Oss, which saw the hosts 4-0 up at the interval.

TOP Oss' resistance was broken after just two minutes when Michael Lamey scored before Robert grabbed his first of the night from the penalty spot on 11 minutes.

He scored again midway through the half before DaMarcus Beasley got in on the act on 36 minutes.

Robert wrapped up his treble on 59 minutes, before the visitors scored a consolation through Leon van Dalen in the 63rd minute.

PSV ace Mark van Bommel scored the sixth goal on 84 minutes to ensure Guus Hiddink's side safely avoided a banana skin.

Doubles from Salomon Kalou and Dirk Kuyt earned Feyenoord a straightforward win at home to Eredivisie rivals NAC.

The highly-rated Kalou broke the deadlock four minutes before the break and, four minutes after the interval, Kuyt scored from the penalty spot.

Kalou netted again on 57 minutes and Holland international Kuyt notched his second of the game with three minutes left.

Feyenoord and PSV will play each other in the last four, while the second semi-final pits Willem II and Ajax against each other.
