PSV win Feher race

PSV Eindhoven have beaten off competition from Feyenoord to the signing of Csaba Feher.

It emerged on Monday that the two Dutch powerhouses were locked in a straight fight for the NAC Breda midfielder.

PSV seemed to move ahead in the battle when agreeing a suitable package with NAC and the path was left clear when Feyenoord pulled out of the race on Tuesday morning.

Feher has now agreed terms with PSV and the 28-year-old is expected to sign after passing his medical on Wednesday.

PSV are said to have persuaded NAC to sell with a ‚é¼1 million offer and his arrival could finally see Mark van Bommel moved on.

Eindhoven coach Guus Hiddink reportedly views the Hungarian as the ideal replacement for van Bommel, who has been linked with a host of clubs this summer.
