Eredivisie round-up

Second place Ajax claimed a remarkable 5-1 win at PSV Eindhoven.

Ajax claimed a remarkable 5-1 win at PSV Eindhoven to breathe fresh life in to the Eredivisie title race.

It was no surprise that Klaas Jan Huntelaar proved to be the champions' tormentor-in-chief, the Dutchman bagging the first of his two goals in the 17th minute.

Wesley Sneijder doubled the visitors' lead a minute before half-time before Patrick Kluivert pulled a goal back for PSV on 68 minutes.

Huntelaar regained his side's two-goal advantage just four minutes later and home fans were stunned as Gabri (73) and Kenneth Perez (89) put the seal on an incredible win to move Ajax into second.

AZ Alkmaar slipped to third place, meanwhile, due to a goalless draw at Heracles, while Feyenoord also failed to overcome lesser opponents in a 0-0 draw at home to Willem II.

Fourth-placed Twente Enschede claimed a 1-1 draw at Groningen after Sharbel Touma (26) and Luis Suarez (70) exchanged strikes.

Elsewhere, Francis Dickoh (20) and Tom Caluwe (51) scored as Utrecht defeated Vitesse Arnhem 2-0.
