Group C round-up

AZ Alkmaar secured a resounding 5-2 Uefa Cup away win over Grasshoppers.

AZ Alkmaar maintained their 100 percent record in the Uefa Cup with a resounding 5-2 Group C away win over Grasshoppers.

The home side led at the interval thanks to Mblala Mbula Biscotte's 29th minute opener, but the visitors dominated the second half.

Former Rangers and Ajax striker Shota Arveladze levelled matters with Demy De Zeeuw giving the Eredivisie side the lead for the first time.

Ribeiro Eduardo did equalise shortly after the hour mark, but Moussa Dembele's (pictured) effort on 78 minutes restored AZ's lead.

Any hopes Grasshoppers retained of claiming a point were ended in injury time thanks to Maarten Martens' effort and Dembele's second.

Braga bounced back from their opening Group C drubbing at the hands of AZ Alkmaar with a comprehensive success over Slovan Liberec.

Two quick-fire first half goals from Alberto Ricardo Chaves and Ortolan Marcel put the home side firmly in contract at the interval.

Carlos Cesinha's 54th minute penalty made it 3-0 on the night with Alexandre Bruno Gama's injury time effort rounding off the success.
